Alchemy of the feminine

The history of women is written on their bodies. Whiffs, glances, memories, thoughts, interwoven textiles, words not spoken, aborted actions, blood, sweat, embryos, liquids and moods. The paintings of Sabrina Tacci talk about these stories, first impressed on her body and then vomited on the canvass in the shape of ancestral archetypal presences. Trapped inside signs, scratches, spurts, lines and paintbrushes of colours.
The colours and the shapes try to get together following a virtual scoring in where the invisible composer is the woman, as a sacred bearer of messages not yet made out. An abstraction of the first creative energy; Lilith, Aphrodite, Dea Mater, Tiamat, Ishtar, Gaia.
